Copenhagen’s Ink Festival at Tap1 provides the best of the tattoo world. It is actually Scandinavia’s largest tattoo convention! SAC is sponsoring tickets at a very reduced price! With 150 of the world’s finest tattoo artists showcasing their talent, get entertained by flame-painted hot rod cars and motorbikes, as well as, the numerous live music performances, freak shows, and burlesque shows that will be performed throughout the day. We will meet at the entrance to Tap 1 (Ny Carlsbergvej 91, 1760 København V) at 12pm and be sure to bring your student ID so we can get the student rate! The tickets are valid until 12am on Saturday, May 5th so you can stay as long as you would like. SAC is sponsoring a trip to Tivoli Gardens next Saturday! Below is the description:
Come and enjoy the magic of the Tivoli Gardens - a world famous family amusement park in the middle of Copenhagen. The park that inspired the making of The Disney World Park. This is highly subsidized including entrance, multi-ride ticket (ride all day long), and includes a meal at your choice of vendor inside the park (drink, meal item, and dessert)!! Park opens at 11am and closes at midnight! Tickets will be distributed at your convenience, so you can enter the park and spend as much time as you would like at Tivoli. Information regarding ticket distribution will be sent in a follow-up email. Spend one of your last weekends in Copenhagen at one of the most popular Danish attractions for a third of the price!!

Denmark is known for being the happiest place on earth—and with their encouraging attitude towards play, it is no wonder! Come to the Experimentarium and float on a flying carpet, lie on a bed of needles, try walking in a wind tunnel, experience an earthquake, and other fun activities! Plus there will also be a SPECIAL WATER EXHIBIT! See if you can manage to save someone who has fallen overboard from a ship. Experience the giant rush of surfing down the giant surf wave – which Experimentarium is the first science centre in the world to present to the public (an indoor surf wave, you can find videos of it on YouTube if you search for “City Wave”.) The $5 USD covers pizza, transportation, and admission. We will eat pizza at 4.30 in the DIS front lobby and will leave for the museum at 5.

DIS STUDENTS! The next SAC event is only TWO DAYS AWAY! This Saturday come join your fellow DIS students for a day of modern art and architecture as you venture to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art! There will be a guided tour followed by time to explore the museum’s exhibits on your own. The Louisiana is one of Denmark’s most famous attractions, you don’t want to miss it!
Price: $11.60 per student. Meet at Nørreport 10:30 a.m. to take the ØR 1341 at 10:44 a.m.
